Description

Filament Vacuum Hand Pump Replacement Head / Cap

Did your generic filament vacuum bag hand pump take a fall from your desk and crack the brittle, clear plastic front piece? Instead of throwing away a perfectly functional pump, print this direct drop-in replacement! This part replaces the original clear plastic front adapter that holds the silicone sealing ring and mounts onto the pump body, fully restoring airtight suction.

Print Settings & Recommendations

Orientation: Print standing upright (face where the ring goes on the build plate) to avoid support marks on the sealing surface.

Layer Height: 0.15 mm – 0.20 mm (finer layers help with airtightness).

Supports: Yes, tree/organic supports are recommended for the internal overhangs.

Walls / Perimeters: 4–5 walls (recommended to prevent air leaking through the infill).

Material: PLA worked fine for me.

Assembly Instructions

Carefully remove the large front silicone seal from the broken clear collar. Retrieve the small internal rubber valve/ring from inside the pump assembly. Insert the internal rubber valve and the front silicone seal into their designated recesses in the 3D-printed part. Press and gently twist the new collar onto the main pump cylinder until it seats snugly.
