Description

WARNING - The current Right-side versions may not have suitable clearance for the print head. The current Left-side version do not. Be aware the trying to print at max height will result in problems.

UPDATE (2026-05-01): Updated the "Double Fittings" version with better geometry at the transition between the fittings. Hopefully filament is easier to load than in V1.

UPDATE (2026-04-26): Added a new "Passthru" version that removes the fittings in favor of a passthru hole. The hole is sized at 4.3mm which is a snug fit on the 4mm OD PTFE, but if you run into issues with sizing you can use the XY Hole Compensation to adjust.

UPDATE (2026-04-25): Added a new version that has tapped holes for PC4-M6 fittings on the back of the Filament Tab. This works well for ACE connections (or other systems that use 4mm OD PTFE outputs). Check out "Locked - Straight 4 Double Fittings" profile.

UDPATE (2026-04-23): After using this for a bit, I started to notice the press-fit wasn't holding as strong. I made a "locked" version with a longer post and a simple tab to hold things more securely in place. At the same time, I decided I wanted 4 straight ports instead of stacked ports (better alignment for my filament setup). Check out the "Locked - Straight 4" profile! If you're interested in a "locked" version of any other options, let me know and I can get them added.

Model Purpose:

This model was born out of a desire to make using the Kobra X with my PolyDryer (or really any filament dryer/storage) easier. It was cumbersome to run the filament out of the box and up behind the printer to get to the stock filament inlets. To solve this, I designed a model that fits into the holes at the top of the Z axis and uses PC4-M10 fittings to hold the PTFE tubes. The result works exactly as intended - easier loading with the ability to still use 1 spool up top (convenient for quick swaps).

Note: this is designed to not impact maximum Z height. There is potentially some contact between the print head cable and the PTFE tubes depending on how you have things arranged, but it shouldn't affect anything. This is probably only a concern if you're using the right side variant. Left should be even clearer.

Model Variants:

I've created 4 variants of this model with 2 primary feature: Left or Right, and Flush or Recessed numbers on the face.

NEW: "Locked" version with 4 ports in a single line

NEW: "Double Fittings" version with 4 ports in a single link with holes for PC4-M6 fittings on the back

NEW: "Passthru" version with no fittings, just holes for the 4mm OD PTFE as a passthru

Instructions:

The model uses 4 PC4-M10 fittings (specifically "pass through" type fittings) to hold the PTFE tube flush with the back where the filament is fed in. They should be easy to screw in even by hand, but a wrench or pliers can be helpful. Simply screw the fittings in, insert the "post" into the hole/slot at the top of the Z axis, then press the PTFE tubing into the fitting as far as it will go. Then you're ready to go!

Additional Parts:

4x PC4-M10 fittings, pass through. Pretty much anything you find on Amazon/Ali/etc will work, but here a link to the specific ones I use: Amazon Affiliate Link.

If you're using the "Double Fittings" version, you'll also need a set of PC4-M6 fittings. Here are some options:

PC4-M6 fittings (I like these ones because they're the same silver/black color combo as the M10 fittings I'm using): Amazon Affiliate Link

PC4-M10 + MC4-M6 fittings (cheaper than getting M10 and M6 separately): Amazon Affiliate Link
