This is a complete computer using a raspberry pi in a pelican case. I 3d printed all of the parts to fit inside the case to hold the electronics in place. For the brain, I used the raspberry pi 4b with 8gb ram. This is a little over the top, but I wanted the speed for my DIY CNC machine interface.
The parts are as follows:
Guidesman® 9" Watertight Protective Case - Menards - $12.99
7 Inch Touchscreen Monitor for Raspberry Pi HDMI IPS 1024 x 600 Mini LCD - Amazon - $42.99
GeeekPi Fan for Raspberry Pi 4 - Amazon - $16.99
Short USB C Cable 6 inch - Amazon - $6.99
USB Mini Keyboard - Amazon - $13.99
Micro HDMI to HDMI Cable 1FT - Amazon - $11.97
USB C HUB - Amazon - $8.99
5V-2.1A Power 18650 Holder Organizer Batteries Box for Electronic DIY Holder DIY Bank - Amazon - $13.99
18650 9900mah Rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries 8 Pack - Amazon - $24.99
2PCS RJ45 Breakout Board - Amazon - $8.29
The prices do not reflect what I originally spent on this machine, they are what the current prices are. I will link all of the specific parts below.
Basically, for assembly, all you are doing is plugging everything into the raspberry pi and glueing the ports to their specific slots. I will soon try to upload a diagram explaining all of the connections. The design is simple and easy to assemble.
