💧 How to Fill the Cooling Chamber

You can use the FrostGrip Chiller in two ways:

1. 💧 Plain Water

The fastest and simplest method.

Fill the cooling chamber with water without any special preparation.

2. ❄️ DIY Cooling Gel – Recommended

For longer-lasting cooling performance, you can prepare a simple ice-pack style cooling gel.

Thanks to its thicker consistency, the gel stays cold for longer and helps reduce the risk of leaks.

🧪 Recipe for approximately 300 ml of water

• 💧 300 ml of lukewarm water
• 🧂 1 generous teaspoon of salt
• 🥣 1/2 generous teaspoon of guar gum

🔄 Preparation

1. Add the salt to the water and stir until completely dissolved.
2. Slowly add the guar gum.
3. Mix vigorously to prevent lumps from forming.
4. Continue mixing until you obtain a smooth, uniform gel.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – Golden Rule for the Freezer!

NEVER FILL THE COOLING CHAMBER TO THE BRIM!

Fill the cooling chamber to approximately 85–90% of its capacity and always leave 10–15% empty space (air gap) before closing the cap.

When frozen, water and cooling gel expand in volume.

If the chamber is filled to 100%, the expansion of the frozen liquid can create significant pressure against the walls and damage or crack the 3D-printed component.

Leaving an air gap gives the liquid enough room to expand safely.
