Here is a remix of the original hueforge of Vt2Design3d. After a few trials to print it in one print, I decided to cut the hueforge itself into two pieces.
Printing the entire piece in a single print either resulted in unsightly edges on the free-hanging underside of the ring (as can also be seen in a photo of the original or in unsightly supports on the Hueforge model itself and a lot of tedious fiddling.
Neither option was acceptable to me, so I sliced the model after layer 25, which allowed me to print the ring as a freestanding piece with the needed supports without using the hueforge itself as the base.
The result is much nicer (as seen in my pictures) and makes the entire process much less stressful. A little glue rejoins the two parts at the end so that they look as if they were printed as a single piece.
The three build plates are configured in the 3mf file so that only the ring is printed with supports. They are restricted to the real dangerous areas at the underside of the ring and not to any overhanging part of the embossed text. This small embossed overhangs are managable for the Kobra X. :-)
The frame from the original is also included in the file.
I printed using PLA in the following setup (like in the 3mf-file):
Anycubic Basic PLA Red (Spool position 1)
Elegoo Basic PLA White (Spool position 2)
Anycubic Basic PLA Black (Spool position 3)
Anycubic Silk PLA Shiny Gold (Spool position 4)
Have fun with this model. It looks really cool!
And thanks also to Vt2Design3d for the original!
